Eu sinto muito por essa perda. Nunca o conheci pessoalmente, mas utilizava muito os seus arquivos. Me ajudaram muito, como jamais achei em outro site.

De um tempo para ca, não conseguia mais entrar em sua página, e achava que o site havia sido bloqueado em meu país (Brasil), quando me deparo com essa triste notícia. Que Deus console sua família e amigos.

It saddens me to learn of Dr. Ranfft's passing. I never met him but used his archive extensively. To say it nurtured my horological knowledge and made me the collector and lover of watches i am today is an understatement. You will be sorely missed.

May I extend my deepest sympathy, it is with great sadness that's such an iconic watch enthusiast has come to a peaceful resolution to life he has passed this world and now on to the next you will be greatly missed.

Thank you for all the knowledge we received from you. On behalf of Hungarian watch lovers, rest in peace.
